At 19, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and polycystic ovarian syndrome. The news only got worse that day. The dr told me I would have a very slim chance of ever having children. It would be a miracle if I did. I was devastated, but learned to accept it. I met Danny when I was 22. He was a very sweet guy but you could tell he was lost in life. He had a troublesome children and didn’t know how to cope with it. I knew I had to help him. We began to some a lot of time together, growing closer and closer everyday. I then knew, even with all his problems, he was the one I wanted to spend my life with. About a year later, I found out I was pregnant! It was a happy, shocking, nervous feeling all out once. We knew it would be a rough 9 months, but we could pull through. I gave birth to our beautiful healthy baby girl Mya on September 25, 2010. A month later, Danny came home from working the night shift as usual. This time, he was sweating, stuttering and acting funny. He suggested changing Myas diaper then we would talk about why he was acting that way. I opened the babies diaper, and there it was.….a beautiful gold diamond ring. When I looked up Danny was on one knee asking me to marry him. It was definately a wonderful surprise. (Thank God it was the ONLY surprise in the diaper)
